Cliques and Crowds

Published by sshield at 9:40 pm under Uncategorized Edit This

A clique is defined as a group of two to twelve people whose members have frequent social interactions with one another. A clique can define who you are especially in the older grades as High School. Not being part of a clique can be hard because the people in your clique is who you usually identify with and have the most in common. Crowds are differet than cliques. Crowds are just large groups of people who somehting in common but do not neccesarily interact with one another. For example all the “jocks” in the school can be considered a crowd. I went to a school were the cliques could be especially hard to overcome. Cliques can exclude people and make people feel like outcast in their own enviroment. Cliques and crowds are apart of high school life and may be a good situation for some but devastating for others.
